Krista Peel was born in Saugatuck, MI and raised in Cheyenne, WY. She received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute in Chicago, IL.

Since then, she has shown in galleries throughout the U.S. and been featured in newspapers, magazines, blogs and TV, including the Chicago Tribune, The Chicago Reader, New City Magazine, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia City Paper, Apartment Therapy and HGTV. She has lived in Casper, WY, Bloomington, IN, Chicago, IL, Denver, CO and San Francisco, CA. She currently lives in Philadelphia, PA with her husband, Zak. The only thing she likes more than traveling, is painting. And drawing. And jewelry making. And Science. Also dioramas, miniatures, slight of hand magic, the supernatural, roller coasters, swimming, mini-golf, discussing movies and tiki drinks. Ooh, and her wonderful new baby daughter, Luna Ruby.
